We are so grateful for all the referrals and positive feedback we’ve received from this community. Thank you all so much! Interest in our services has quickly exceeded the capacity of our our low-volume, home environment.

We are currently accepting Meet & Greet Wait-List requests only. We cannot accept short notice reservations for new dogs at this time. We anticipate to resume most of our Meet & Greet appointments August 2025, and will contact wait-list clients at that time.

We encourage anyone interested in our boarding to fill out this form. There is always a chance your dog(s) may be the right fit, with the right dates. We will work in who we can through the busy summer. Thank you all for understanding!

Meet & Greet Wait-List

Overnight Lodging

$50/night per dog

Would your pup prefer to avoid a typical kennel environment? Tommy & Kerry come from long careers in the commercial kennel industry, and along the way, saw too many dogs missing the comforts of home. This is how our business idea was born.

Individualized Care

At The StoweAways we provide personalized, and all-inclusive care for our guests with our home-environment lodging on our farm here in rural Morgan County. Our visitors are treated as part of our family, receiving 24 hour comfort and care. Our quality service is a welcome relief to most family-friendly dogs, but is particularly appreciated by seniors, dogs with handicaps or health concerns, or dogs that suffer with varying separation anxiety.

Customized Socialization

Visitors enjoy the incredible talent of our master pack leader “Uncle Tommy” with our included socialization. A career expert in dog behavior and body language, Tommy carefully evaluates each guest for temperament, social preferences, and play style; perfectly matching our play groups together for maximum fun, and maximum safety.

Meet & Greet Wait-List

Grooming with Kerry is available to dogs who are visiting with us for lodging. We do not book “Grooming Only” appointments.

Prices are based on your grooming preferences, along with your dog’s temperament, size, and coat type.

Nail Trim or Dremel - $10-$20 based on temperament
Bath - includes blow-dry/brush-out/ears - Range $30-$60
Misc. Hair Trimming - as bath add-on - $10-$20
Gland Expression - as bath add-on - $10
Full Haircut - includes bath - Range $60 - $140

Wedding Support

If you’re planning to have your best friend participate in your wedding, we’re here to help. We free up family members from the responsibility and time commitment in managing your dog on your big day. Our Wedding Support services include any combination of:

Lodging as needed, before and after the big day.

Full groom prior to the ceremony.

Transport to and from the wedding venue as needed.

Escort and management on site between the ceremony, photo shoot, etc. We’ll even walk your dog down the isle!

Wedding Support packages are customized to your exact desires, with prices varying depending on your needs.

Our lodging wait-list does not apply to wedding packages!

Other Services

If you and your dog become part of our pack, we are here for you. We provide a wide range of additional services for our clients, including in-home pet-sitting visits, vet visit transportation/supervision, introductions between family dogs and new additions, rescue dog temperament evaluations with dogs, cats, and kids, and more.

Who we are, and how we came to be…

Hello to all! We are the Stowes! Together we operate our full time small business – The StoweAways – here in rural Madison, Georgia.

I, Kerry, am a yankee hailing from Connecticut, with a bachelors degree in Animal Science from UConn. I arrived in Georgia in 2011 and quickly found my match in this southern gentleman, Tommy Stowe. For the better part of a decade Tommy and I managed a large commercial boarding & training facility in Atlanta, often responsible for the care of over 100 dogs per day. As the years passed we knew we were destined to leave the city behind, and relocated to the Madison area in 2018 to start our family.

In 2019 Tommy and I embarked on our life-long dream, The StoweAways. And in early 2023 we purchased our forever property here in Madison, with the vision of growing our business while raising a couple country kids. As we pour the sweat-equity into our master farm restoration project, we rehab from the ground up with our dog’s needs as the driving factor in every design decision.

Our farm house, a former UGA equine blood serum laboratory. We are now the third family to re-renovate this sprawling concrete-block ranch into our dream home.
